But it never gets so fancy that you'll ever hesitate to cruise this pickup and tell its unique story. This truck is bright, sleek, and sporty, and so the overall look is impressive. But those modern Ridler polished alloys on the lowered suspension also lets everyone know the investments in this one were not just about keeping it vintage. Bright chrome makes for a good classic style, and so does all that real wood in the truck bed. It gave the trucks better integrated headlights, larger fenders, and a tall grille that seemed to inspire the imposing style of the first F-Series that would come by the end of the decade. And the distinction goes further than just timelines thanks to the new design that debuted for '42.
